Moms in Motion is a walk/talk maternal mental health support group designed to meet the growing needs for moms to feel heard, understood, and genuinely connected. Motherhood is full of constant change-emotionally, physically, and relationally- and this group offers a supportive space to navigate those shifts alongside other moms who truly get it.
Each week focuses on a meaningful topic related to motherhood and mental wellness, creating opportunities for reflection, connection, and growth. Sessions begin with a 20-25 minute walk, where moms are paired together to talk in a relaxed, low pressure environment. Guided conversation prompts, provided by a therapist, help foster deeper discussion and connection during the walk.
Following the walk, the group comes together for a therapist led discussion that offers education, practical coping strategies, and additional support related to the topic of the day.
Whether you are navigating early motherhood. life transitions, or simply looking for connection and support, Moms in Motion is a space to move your body, share your story, and feel less alone.

FAQ
Can I Bring My Child/Children?
What Do I Need to Bring To Group?
Do I Need a Mental Health Diagnosis to Particpate?
Yes! Bring your child in their stroller, babywear, or even bring bikes/scooters for older children. This group is for you, and to give you a chance to talk, connect, and heal with other moms. If you are comfortable talking with your kids around and don’t feel like they would be a major distraction to you, then bring them along. There is also a big field in the middle. I will have a few activities/toys for toddlers to interact with if they don’t want to ride a bike/be pushed in a stroller. While you walk with other moms I will help with the children. During the larger group discussion, you may bring snacks or quiet time activities to help distract them (as best we can haha) as we talk.
Make sure to wear comfortable shoes. The path is paved and it is easy to push a stroller on. Please bring water to stay hydrated. Monitor the weather to determine if you would benefit from sunscreen. There are some shaded parts of the path, but most of it is in direct sun. During the group discussions we will sometimes sit on the field, so bring a blanket or towel to sit on if you don’t want to be on the grass.
No. This group is open to any mom looking for support and connection. There will be no initial evaluation or assessment. If you feel like you need further mental health support, the group therapist will help connect you with additional support. You do not have to use group therapist as your own therapist. We will work with you within your means to connect you with the most appropriate therapist that fits your mental health and financial abilities.
