Meet Katie Moore LCSW PMH-C
Owner & Provider
Hello and Welcome to Healing Pineapple Therapy. I'm Katie Moore LCSW PMH-C. It's a privilege to have you visit my site and reach out for services. From early on in life I knew I wanted to be a therapist. I have always loved to help others and to provide support when I can.
I attended Quinnipiac University and received my BA in psychology in 2005, then went on to attend Columbia university School of Social Work to obtain my MSW in 2007.
I'm a Jersey girl with Southern roots who relocated to the Charlotte area in 2007 to start my career as a therapist. Early on I worked with the aging population, which led me to do a lot of work with grief/loss, medical/health psychology, and trauma. I have always been interested in the mind-body connection and how to help others from a collaborative approach.
In 2009 I co-created Serendipity Therapy, PPLC to help address the increased need for providing mental health services to seniors and their families. As I built my private practice, I had the opportunity to also be an Infant Mental Health Specialist, where I provided therapeutic parenting support to families. Throughout my career it's been an honor to work with individuals and families as they grow and create change during difficult life transitions and losses.
One of the things that I love about being a therapist, is that as you grow and age in your own life/career, you can develop therapeutic skills to help bridge different populations and experiences. Starting in 2015 in my personal life, I underwent my most difficult stage of life, trying to become a parent. In this time I went through 5 years of infertility and loss, experienced birth trauma, and postpartum depression/anxiety. It was from my own struggles, I wanted to gain more of a professional specialty in the field of perinatal/fertility support so I could eventually help others going through similar struggles. Since 2020 I have devoted my professional time taking trainings and certifications to better serve the perinatal population and to give back to a community of people I feel deeply connected to. I’m excited that through my own post traumatic growth and healing, I am now at a point to be able to help others still on their journey.
Join me in helping you rediscover your natural strengths and resolve your individual mental health needs as you work on building your family. I can help you build new ways of coping that will further enhance and improve your quality of life and relationships. It is my goal to help you to achieve balance, peace-of-mind, and wellness so that you can live your best life no matter what struggles you are facing.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you on your path to growth and healing.
